We resolved yesterday that we would travel by car to Rye with Ian and Abdy and drop off Chris at his friends house at Seaford.
The morning was spent getting the Ute ready and loaded up and doing the “shopping” for food for the breakfast for the next few days.
The trip down to Rye was largely uneventful and after dropping off Chris we travelled along the route to be taken by the guys travelling from Melbourne the next day….looked ok apart from a few narrow shoulders on the road from Mt Martha to Safety Beach.
We arrived at the Rye beach house at about 4.00 pm with the weather still very hot!
We had to do some perishable shopping for milk, butter and bread. That done after watching a bit of the Grand Prix qualifying we went for dinner at the Blairgowrie Yacht Club.
It was a beautiful evening with a bit of a breeze cooling us. We had dinner on the yacht club deck. Good way to finish the day!
We were in bed early with a bit of anticipation for the days ahead.
